The Man Behind Thirteen Artists: Getting To Know Luke Carter

Every great label has an origin story. DGG Productions starts with one person, thirty years and a catalogue of over 600 songs.

Luke Carter is a UK-based songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Before founding DGG Productions, he spent 20+ years in senior digital marketing roles, including Head of Digital at a major UK automotive brand, while writing and recording music on the side under the alias Sammi Dae.

Two years ago the two careers converged. Carter began taking songs from his catalogue, 60 selected from over 600 originals written between 1993 and 2023, and rebuilding each into 7 to 10 multi-genre versions. He then created 13 AI artists to perform his vocals, spanning cinematic soul, Southern folk and funky house.

The result is a catalogue with real range: every song written, produced and originally sung by one person, then given new life through a growing family of artist identities.

Thirty years of songwriting, finally finding its audience, or rather many audiences at once.
